The Terms Behind Royal Dachshunds UK
Not the most exciting page on the site, but an important one. This sets out how the website works, how reserving and buying a puppy from us works, and where each of us stands if something needs sorting out.
On This Page
01 Who We Are
Royal Dachshunds UK is a small, home-based dachshund breeder. When we say "we," "us" or "our" on this page, that's who we mean. When we say "you," we mean anyone browsing this site, asking about a puppy, or buying one from us.
By using this website, or by reserving a puppy with us, you're agreeing to the terms below. If something here doesn't sit right with you, get in touch before you go any further — we'd rather clear it up first.
02 Using This Website
We've tried to keep everything on this site accurate — puppy availability, pricing, ages — but things move fast with a litter. A puppy shown as available might already be reserved by the time you read this, and we'll always confirm current availability directly rather than rely on what the page said an hour ago.
You're welcome to browse, share, and read anything on this site. What you can't do is copy our content, photos, or puppy descriptions and use them elsewhere as if they were yours.
03 Reserving a Puppy
A puppy isn't considered reserved for you until we've confirmed it directly and a deposit has been received. Messaging us to say you're interested is a great first step, but it doesn't hold a puppy on its own — other people are often asking about the same litter at the same time.
Once a puppy is reserved, we'll agree a collection or delivery date with you and stop showing that puppy as available to anyone else.
04 Deposits & Payment
A deposit secures your chosen puppy. The remaining balance is due before or on the day you collect your puppy or they're delivered to you — we'll confirm the exact amount and timing when you reserve.
Deposit amounts, accepted payment methods, and refund circumstances should be confirmed and stated plainly here — this is one of the sections most worth getting properly reviewed before publishing.
05 Changing Your Mind
We get it — plans change. But a puppy isn't a jumper you can send back if it doesn't fit. Once a deposit has been paid and a puppy reserved for you, that deposit is generally non-refundable, because we've taken that puppy off the market for other interested buyers in the meantime.
If there's a genuine problem on our side — for example, if we're unable to provide the puppy you reserved — we'll talk it through with you directly and sort out a fair outcome.
06 Delivery & Collection
You can collect your puppy in person, or we'll arrange free delivery to you anywhere in the UK — see our Deliveries page for how that works day-to-day. Either way, someone needs to be present and available to receive the puppy directly.
07 Health Guarantee
Every puppy leaves us vet checked, wormed, and vaccinated appropriately for their age, backed by our written health guarantee. The full detail of what's covered — and what isn't — is on our Health Guarantee page, and the written terms are provided again at the point of sale.
08 Photos, Text & Content
The photos and words on this site belong to us. If you'd like to use something — a photo for a genuine article about the breed, for example — just ask first rather than assume it's fine.
09 Our Liability
We do our best to make sure everything on this site is accurate and up to date, but we can't guarantee it'll be error-free every second of every day. We won't be responsible for losses that come from relying on something on this website that turned out to be outdated or mistaken, beyond what we're legally required to cover.
Liability clauses need to reflect your actual legal position under UK consumer law — please have this section checked rather than relying on the wording above as-is.
10 Links to Other Sites
If we ever link out to another website, that's for your convenience — we're not responsible for what's on someone else's site, and linking to it isn't us vouching for everything they say.
11 Changes to These Terms
We may update this page from time to time as our process changes. The version live on the site at the time you reserve a puppy is the one that applies to you.
12 Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute would fall under the jurisdiction of the courts there.
